Student Mental Health Services

School Social Workers are available to provide support and linkages to community resources that will enhance the emotional well-being and academic performance of students. In addition to providing mental health counseling, school social workers look to partner with families to address challenges of truancy, school/social withdrawal, and physical, emotional, and economic hardships.

The role of the School Psychologist is to support students and their families by evaluating, identifying,  and addressing academic and mental health concerns that impede student behavioral or academic progress. Our school psychologist is an integral part of the collaborative educational team for both general education and special education students.

WCSD is proud to partner with Spectrum Behavioral Health to provide a Licensed Mental Health Clinician that is available via a referral process to offer therapeutic services to students on a rotating basis among our three high school sites.  Please contact your school social worker or school psychologist for more information.
